Adventist Curriculum About our approach Adventist Education and Curriculum is committed to offering a multifaceted education that entwines intellectual development with responsible citizenship and healthy, balanced living. Through this values-driven approach, our schools are empowered to offer life skills and lessons in conjunction with traditional course work and academic learning. We know both you and your child will enjoy the high level of excellence our schools provide. Quality of education Our curriculum is developed centrally and is reviewed annually at the North American Division of our institution. Consistency with our values-driven approach, as well as cohesion with state and provincial standards play key roles in the selection of new materials and textbooks. This is important as it helps to maintain a high integrity for the over 1,000 schools across North America where our curriculum is implemented. For more information visit www.nadeducation.adventist.org. Curriculum Development Curriculum material is reviewed and updated by committee on a rotating subject schedule each summer. In developing a new curriculum guide, this committee considers the national standards for respective subject areas, state and provincial standards, and Journey to Excellence, a publication that sets the direction for change in Adventist Education. For a more comprehensive look at our institution and the various subjects offered, please visit our website at www.nadeducation.adventist.org. Accreditation The General Conference Board of Regents is the accrediting authority for all educational programs operated in the name of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. |
